1,ABS Plastic
Characteristics
(1) Good overall performance, high impact strength, good chemical stability, good electrical properties;
(2) Good integration with pmma, can be made into two-colour plastic parts, the surface can be chrome-plated, spray paint treatment;
(3) High impact resistance, high heat resistance, flame retardant, enhanced, transparent and other levels;
(4) The fluidity is slightly worse than HIPS, better than PMMA, PC and other flexibility.
ABS resin is resistant to water, inorganic salts, alkalis and acids, insoluble in most alcohols and hydrocarbon solvents, but soluble in aldehydes, ketones, esters and some chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Disadvantages of ABS engineering plastics: low heat distortion temperature, combustible, poor weather resistance.
2,ABS+PC
Characteristics
Can not be spontaneous combustion, external fire combustion, the surface of the polycarbonate combustion like the same small particles precipitation. When the external flame stops, the combustion also stops.
3,PC Polycarbonate
Abbreviation PC engineering plastics, PC material is actually what we call one of the engineering plastics, as a material is widely used by countries around the world.
1) Characteristics
Polycarbonate is colourless and transparent, heat-resistant, impact-resistant, flame-retardant, and has good mechanical properties at general operating temperatures. Compared with polymethylmethacrylate, which is close in performance, polycarbonate has good impact resistance, high refractive index, and good processability.
2) Disadvantages
The abrasion resistance of polycarbonate is poor, and some polycarbonate devices used for abrasion-resistant purposes require special treatment of the surface.
Common everyday applications include compact discs, eye masks, water bottles, bulletproof glass, goggles, bulletproof glass for banks, headlights, etc., animal cages, and pet cages.
Polycarbonate is also used in the manufacture of helmet masks for moon landing astronauts.
Apple's ipod music player and ibook laptop shell is also made of polycarbonate.
4. PMMA polymethyl methacrylate
Disadvantages: surface hardness is not high.
PMMA surface hardness is not high, easy to friction hair, low impact resistance, forming poor fluidity.
Ultra-transparent PMMA material is mainly used for mobile phone protective screen, the product is divided into two kinds of hardened coating, no hardened coating.
Characteristics
Excellent light transmittance, no impurities, electrostatic protection film, surface hardening thick hardness up to 5-6H or more.
Currently especially recommended for PMMA material hardening, domestic known as 'raw board'.
5.PP Polypropylene
1) Features
Non-toxic, odourless, degree of small, strength, stiffness, hardness and heat resistance are better than low-pressure polyethylene, can be used at about 100 degrees. Has good electrical properties, high-frequency insulation is not affected by humidity.
2) Disadvantages
High brittleness at low temperature, not wear-resistant, easy to aging.
3)Use
Suitable for the production of general mechanical parts, corrosion-resistant parts and insulating parts.
Common acids, alkalis and organic solvents have little effect on it, and it can be used for eating utensils.
6. PE Polyethylene
Polyethylene is odourless, non-toxic, feels like wax, has excellent low-temperature resistance (the lowest use temperature up to -70 ~ -100 ℃), good chemical stability, resistant to most of the acids and alkalis (not resistant to the oxidative properties of acids), insoluble in common solvents at room temperature, small water absorption, excellent electrical insulation properties;
