ABS vacuum forming plastic sheet is a specially engineered extruded sheet designed specifically for the vacuum forming process. Made from high-quality Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) copolymer, this material combines the strength and rigidity of acrylonitrile and styrene polymers with the outstanding toughness of polybutadiene rubber. Why Ordinary Plastics Fail in Vacuum Forming

 

Using general-purpose plastic sheets-rather than dedicated vacuum forming grades-can lead to a host of processing and quality problems:

  • Uneven Heating and "Hot Spots": Ordinary ABS sheets do not heat as evenly as dedicated forming grades. "Hot spots" that develop during the heating process can ruin an entire vacuum pull, resulting in rejected parts and wasted material
